Cambodia and GGGI celebrated a decade of collaboration, fostering green growth in the country. Since 2013, together we mainstreamed green priorities into pivotal policies such as the NDC, Cambodia’s Long-Term Strategy for Carbon Neutrality (LTS4CN), and the National Strategic Plan on Green Growth 2013-2030. The achievements also include integrating sustainability into urban plans like the Phnom Penh Sustainable City Plan 2018-2030. GGGI’s initiatives encompass diverse areas from energy and waste management to electric transportation and green financing. We successfully secured nearly USD 20 million for projects like solar rooftops and other energy efficiency intervention for the garment sector, waste processing plant in Phnom Penh, decentralized liquid waste treatment systems in Bavet city and launched the Blue Skies & Net Zero 2050 Campaign. Looking ahead, our partnership envisions ambitious ventures like electric buses and extensive energy efficiency initiatives, signaling a collective drive towards a more sustainable future.
"GGGI’s work is in line with the Kingdom of Cambodia’s long-term strategies to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 and the goal of Cambodia’s contribution to the implementation of national obligations under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (NDC)."

Indonesia and GGGI commemorated their 10th year of partnership, driving the Green Growth Program (GGP) across the country. Together, we mainstreamed green principles in key sectors like sustainable landscapes, green finance and investment, renewable energy, and green cities. Our collaboration has yielded significant strides in sustainable forest and landscape management, renewable energy expansion, and the introduction of initiatives like the Green Transaction Advisory Package (Green-TAP) for renewable energy projects. These efforts are helping conserve approximately 77 million ha of natural capital and are projected to reduce GHG emissions by over 157 MtCO2e, create over 141,000 green jobs, and provide sustainable energy access to 276,000 individuals. Our partnership underscores a joint commitment towards a more sustainable world, showcasing tangible impacts on Indonesia’s environmental and economic landscape.
"Our unwavering commitment has been and is to support the Indonesian government in transitioning towards a green economy, with green growth as the central paradigm for the nation’s development planning."
